Vararam VR2B Intake System for C5 and Z06 Corvette
97-00 models

with the standard filter that comes with it.
extrac;t as found on corvette gargae:

'The ultimate forced air intake system for C5 and Z06 Corvette. The Vararam VR2B Intake kit converts the fog lamp housings in the fascia-front bumper into functional air inlets that force air at speed directly into the Vararam intake system. A true bolt-on system and no modifications to install. Does not interfere with fog lamps or function. Manufacturer claims up to 30 horsepower gains and a near half-second in 1/4-mile ET reduction! Track proven!'

Z06 came out 2001 so 97-00 means not Z06 which has a bigger throttle body.

I think the intake is different (bigger) on the later C5's too. I would doubt any insurer would increase your premium for the sake of an intake.

tesco dosent seem to like me. said they dont know what one was! typical i reckon it all depends on who you 'first' speak to when calling up. anyway i tried other insurers it was fine but im all payed up for the year and have no claims to build.

That boy is buying anything he can get his hands on at the moment. I have an old oil filter and some oil in my garage - only done 6000 miles - are you interested Dave???
