OK, the '79 is history so now I have a few spondulacs to throw at the Z16. Having devoured Ecklers Mid America, Lingerfelter etc, etc, etc catalogues and websites I reckon that if I add up the hp gain of those bolt on goodies I get around a million horses out of my motor. 25 hp for a ram intake, 30 hp for a straight through exhaust, 20 hp for a reprogrammer blah blah blah.
Given that my Z is still, I think, unique in the UK what reversable mods, do the panel think, give the best value for money?
Priorities should be;-
1. Acceleration
2. Acceleration
3. Noise
4. er..Acceleration

Headers are the biggest gain, I believe.

Sorry but there's another Z16 about to land in the UK very shortly. However, the guy also has an 05 Mustang, a C6 and a Hummer H2 and I think he's planning on selling a few of them to buy a house.

You don't say how much you have to spend, but for easily reversible I'd go for:

1. Blackwing air filter
2. Short throw shifter (not going to increase performance numbers but will enormously increase your enjoyment of the car and reduce missed changes)
3. Corsa titanium exhaust system - Touring version will keep you talking to your neighbours
4. Lower ratio differential, say 3.73:1
