Anyone seen this car in the flesh, I phoned the guy today said its been SVA'ed (doesn't look like it to me though) says its done 30k imported from the US by himself, last service done by Lingenfelter, it is a trade sale although its not on his trade webpage???? & its just a mobile number, seems too god to be true? see link: (you may have to cut & paste as I'm not v.good at this tech thing!! http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/WWW/cars_search.asp?page=3&modelexact=1&lid=search_used_cars_full&make=CHEVROLET&model=CORVETTE&min_pr=75&max_pr=&mileage=&agerange=&postcode=da16+2et&miles=200&max_records=50&source=0&photo=1&sort=3&ukcarsearch_full=SEARCH

That's absurdly cheap. There's a black 01 on FindIt for £23k which I thought was incredibly cheap.

It would actually be impossible to import this car legally and sell it for that price without making a big loss.

They could be "rebuilds" don't know if you know but a rebuildable title in the US could be bought and sold overseas and you would be none the wiser........

Still begs the question why they would sell so cheap. Perhaps someone px-ed it and they don't know what they have. Alternatively, could be a typo or a goof by autotrader. When I posted my last car on there they completely screwed up the mileage, price etc. Only way to find out is to give them a ring, I guess...

I did phone the guy & he confirmed the price is correct
It is infact Hollinwell Trade Centre and he has a silver '98 on an R plate up for £16995!!!!

Although a Z06 at £21995 still sounds too good to be true! Still don't know why its not advertised under his
trade name though?

Normally if it sounds too good to be true it probably is!

Carfax should pick up if it's a salvage title. American Dreams have a Camaro SS which came up with such a salvage record.

Perhaps if he's taken it in px, he may not know what he has. If he's charging £17k for a 98, he may be adding a £1000 for every year newer which would make a 2002 £21995. It's possible if he knows nothing about Vettes but given half an hour's research, you have to suspect these people. Then again, it may be just to turn a fast buck.

Whatever, someone buy it so I can sell mine! LOL.
