Ive taken a better shot of my bores, apparently the longer stroke motors have a habit of this, ime not too concerned because the machine lines are unbroken thru the rub marks which makes it look like its just impressions left from the damage from the 1st rebuild, the engine holds good compression (did a test)and does not smoke, for you mechanics out there should i leave well alone or can i lightly go over the bores with some fine emmery?.

When I see marks like that I always think of dirt or rings that weren't chamfered.

If the compressions fine I wouldn't dismantle the engine. After a good while the engine will bed into the honing marks.

I'm of the same mind, if the compression test was good, then the rings should be sealing OK. Anyway it doesn't look like the scratches go any deeper than the honing. I wouldn't use emery paper, you might get bits of abrasive caught up in the rings, which would do more damage.

I assume you mean the light scoring ??

Ive seen and run engine with marks far worse than that, and never had cause for concern. Its called budget motoring. And they ahve all been turbocharged making good power.
Those marks are nothing to worry about IMO.

Yea i noticed the arrow type mark by it yesterday and it looks like the pistons have rough edges so i check ed it out last night, cleaned them off and couldnt see anything, maybe just dirty, one things for sure its gonna need a thorough clean up.

Thanks again all for the feedback.
