Hi,
Im just about ready to get my first car (Im 19 so, not really a child) and so... after narrowing down my choices... the C4 seems like its in range (affordable)

How is it as a day-day driver? problems, concerns... etc? service costs?
...please help me out
thanks,
HG

Hi HG,i think the C4 is quite an over engineered sports car, they are easily maintained and with the help of a worshop manual you should be able to do most of the work yourself, the BIG plus for you your side of the pond are the easily available aftermarket parts that you can upgrade a C4 with, good luck with your choice.

I have a 94 C4 as a daily driver, its great and very reliable apart from the optispark which will cost you around $300 -$400 and takes about 3 hours to fit. We seem to use one every year! The weatherstrip can also become like a sponge, but that may not worry you depending on where you live in the USA! I have a son of 19 who has just bought a 94 Mustang GT (bright yellow), I'd have preferred him to stick to a chevy but there you go!!
