With a couple of European trips coming up in the vette I have been looking for reasonable breakdown cover.

Have any of you got any recommendations, do you get it included with your insurance or a seperate package ?

What sort of prices do you pay, I have noticed some do not want to do cars over 10 years old.

Any help would be appreciated.

I got RAC european cover as an additional part of my annual membership - straightforward as my car is less than 10 years old. Covers as many trips as I like this side of the Ural mountains. They might add a premium for older cars but they probably aren't too fussy.

I paid quite a bit for European cover from the AA a few years back as the old chev was just over their 11 year old price break.
Never needed it of course cos V8's don't break down do they....

I have Green Flag which includes full European cover. It comes as part of a home breakdown emergency package (burst pipes, electrical failure) at £9.50 per month.
