Okay all, here is the proposed route for those of us going to Chateau-du-loir. As we will be going via Le Mans all of the other slower Corvettes can follow this route too....

<a href="www.multimap.com/map/aproute.cgi?client=public&lang=&rn=EU&input_rt=aproute_pan&startcountry=FR&startrd=&starttown=eurotunnel+coquelles&startpc=&endcountry=FR&endrd=&endtown=chateau-du-loir&endpc=&qs=q&starttime=12%3A00"><a href="www.multimap.com/map/aproute.cgi?client=public&lang=&rn=EU&input_rt=aproute_pan&startcountry=FR&startrd=&starttown=eurotunnel+coquelles&startpc=&endcountry=FR&endrd=&endtown=chateau-du-loir&endpc=&qs=q&starttime=12%3A00">www.multimap.com/map/aproute.cgi?client=public&lang=&rn=EU&input_rt=aproute_pan&startcountry=FR&startrd=&starttown=eurotunnel+coquelles&startpc=&endcountry=FR&endrd=&endtown=chateau-du-loir&endpc=&qs=q&starttime=12%3A00</a></a>

As the Eurotunnel leaves UK at 10:28 (11:28 CET) we will be off the train about 12:00, plan to fill up all cars at either the Total petrol station leaving Coquelles (Eurotunnel) or stop at Aire de 2 Caps the first services (about 5 miles) once on the road to Rouen.

As there will be rather a lot of us on that crossing we are bound to get separated leaving the train, so might I suggest that if we are planning on travelling in convoy that we group together by speed and if you want to travel together fine, but each car is responsible for themselves!
If you want to travel together no problem, and perhaps the Aire de 2 caps would be a good place to meet up.

I tend to travel at about 90 mph on the motorways which is slightly over the 130KPH national speed limit, but am very careful through the towns as speeding in town is very much frowned upon by the French Bibs.
As I still don't have a speedo that works I will be relying on one of you lot to act as my pace man!

Also no scaletrics this year at Camp Corvette (no idea why Caddy Shack Europe decided on this name....but it does sound a bit gay)

Due to the no Scalextric rule, if anyone wants to cancel their LM trip then feel free to come round mine for a bit of slot car action... the fee being your tickets!!

Point of order. "Caddy Shack Europe" actually sounds incredibly straight, which makes me rather proud that I'm not :-)

Now, "Arse-Pounding Disco Shack" sounds much more gay. If GM had one of those at Le Mans I might actually take the time away from work to go...

Oh, serves me right for not reading the name properly... you're absolutely right, Camp Corvette does sound rather gay :-)

No doubt there'll be quite a lot of Drag racing...

....meanwhile back on planet earth.

We're travelling out on a 9.00 a.m. train tomorrow so those travelling at "warp factor VHR" will no doubt pass us before Rouen. If you get a wave from a green Chrysler Voyager you know who it is! We'll try for Arnage corner 10.30 Friday and will definitely be in town Friday evening. Hoping for another great weekend this year!

Have a number for Nige, unless he's switched over to analogue welshnet west of the river Severn. Rich, you'll probably want semaphore signals in view of your new interest in flags! If you see a Gendarme waving he probably wants you to stop!
