Since I seem to be blinkered into thinking about number plates... if the Z06 is european type approved then won't folks have to figure out how to fit standard sized plates on the car?

Don't answer that...

....OK.

European sales should mean there is dealer support for the Z06 on this side of the Atlantic pricing is likely to make personal import from USA the best way to get hold of one. Perhaps there's hope that with the base C6 so much more expensive in Europe than USA they will put a smaller price differential between it and the Z06. A well priced Euro Z06 could beat the germans fair and square in LHD markets and might even tempt a few UK buyers.

Prices will be announced in the Uk in October / November, when the cars will go on sale.

Using a similar pricing mark up to the standard C6, the Z06 should cost about 57-63k for the UK official cars.

And I bloody want one! One that is nice, in black.

For the C6, a square front plate holder has been made up to fit a UK plate to the front of the car as there is no space for a front plate as there was for the C5. Rear plates are not a problem.
