Hi folks, long time no post but I have finally sold my 'vette to a guy who came all the way fron Finland!

He actually picks it up tomorrow when it leaves the country at 6pm. The money's cleared though - that's the important bit.

If anyone's wondering the answer is 11 grand, not the easiest car I've ever tried to sell. Must be the performance bargain of the century.

Couple of people have said "how can you only let it go for that" but as you know, only one person came up with the real money...

Makes more sense to invest in the house at the mo'(boring...)

I'll get the hots for a car one day, meanwhile I'm off to Singapore / Malaysia on Wednesday. See you guys when I get back!

Be quite amusing going to the Fairmile / Kent meet, in the old Astra, still GM though!

Mixed feelings - glad you sold it as that's what you wanted but sorry you're no longer a Vette owner. Just make sure you keep coming to The Fairmile.

I am sad your Callaway has gone. It was a distinctive unusual Corvette that held alot of street cred and respect to anyone who knows anything about Corvettes.

Thanks folks though I very much doubt I'll be finished with vettes for good...

There are some bargain "regular" vettes around, especially C4s (or at least there are when you're not looking for one...)

Hi Jan, hope you had a good time in Canada!

Malc.

As I said on the phone on Friday Malc, it's a shame it's gone but I know you really wanted to sell it. That guy really did get a good deal - it was a real clean car and I'm sure going to miss driving places with it (but hey - it might not rain as much now )- just make sure you stay in contact with us all and still come to the meets.

Have a good holiday mate.

Malc - sorry to hear the Callaway has gone!

Hurry up and get a good regular C4! You cannot live day to day with just a Eurobox!

Take care - we all need to sort a get together soon.

Glad to hear it! You'll be welcomed back any time; there's a C5 with your name on it....

Hello everybody,

I`m the "Finn" who bought the Malc`s vette. Just
got home from the trip. What a nice car to have..
Local police officer liked it so much that he fined
me a bill for speeding. Shame that here in north autumn
is coming in a hurry so soon the car going to winter sleep. Luckily in couple of weeks from now is Finnish corvette club trackday and sauna evening so everybody can see the one and only Callaway in Finland.

Cheers...

Don`t know who is Frank Bruno. Mika I`ve had met a couple of times when I was drooling about zr1:s. In Finland look`s like (in my own opinion) no shop knows really good about servicing zr1. Funny thing that there are about 13-15 zr1 in Finland but hardly any of them can be seen.

Welcome to the Forum, Ari.

That's a nice, genuine car you have there which I hope will be kind to you (speeding tickets are your fault I'm afraid - what is the penalty in your country).

Hi Ari

Your Callaway followed my Z06 all the way to Hockenheim last year and Malc is now known as "the limpet" as all I could see for about 500 miles in my rear view mirror was the front of your car!

Hi Malc,

Sorry you sold the car but at least it's gone to a good home and I know you needed the money for other projects.

Jan says hi, but at the moment she is tied up with family stuff.
