Thanks to NW Vette owners
Discussion
Thank you to Robert and all those members of the NW Corvette club for making Wavey (Dave), Gayle and myself welcome this afternoon
. We were treated to an excellent display of Corvettes and Vipers, new and classic, which has provided some food for thought to cross over from the dark side (TVR owners).
The level of finish, especially for a fibreglass body, was truly excellent. The engine bay is as good to look at as the rest of the car and to listen to the C5 with the modded exhaust - well all I can say on that one was 'Wow!'. It sounded excellent indeed and no mistaking that V8 roar.
So, to date I have taken the following smal steps towards Vettedom:
> Copy of the Black Book purchased and duly digested
> garage measured - it will fit!
> DVD of 50 years of Vette obtained and viewed
> Vitesse model Vette sitting on my desk
> trip to local club meeting to meet the cars and their owners
I have to say, apart from the minor LHD detail, the Corvette stacks up very well to the likes of TVR. My Tuscan has been completely reliable, but I do have to admit that it required new plugs every 6,000 miles against the Corvette's 100,000 miles!
Thanks again to everyone at the meet and here on PHs, and we hope to see you again when we get our own motors!
