Just got mine with Brett's suggestion of Stevenage Insurance (01438-313251). Real human beings on the end of the phone and £125 better than any other quote and with all the same benefits !

Did mine with Natwest believe it or not. Daily driver, so cannot benefit from specialist schemes with restricted mileage - all dearer that Natwest last year for high miles.

Cheers for the heads up. I think mine is up for renewal in February, I will give them a go. Just did the wife's pug gti - churchill, specialist female rip offs (for a larf), direct line, AA, quote me miserable, tesco... all the usual "normal car" suspects... natwest was still cheapest I could get for her car too. Wierd...

YEP ! Haven't heard of HC Edwards though, will have to bear them in mind for next year. The trick seems to be to keep moving to get the premiums down each time.

Out of interest my Mazda is insured for business use with Elephant for the 2nd year running - I'll let you know how they deal with a claim as a lorry ran into the side of my at the M25 toll before Christmas

Just for the ZR1 owners out there. Is your car specifically covered as a ZR1? Last year when I tried to shop around no one recognised the ZR1 as being different from the "standard" C4. I have always been with Privledge and they have my car listed as 95 Corvette ZR1 on all the documentation. Plus they are happy with the standard security on the car and don't need me to get a third party alarm system installed. Renewal is due in Feb and I will shop around again but the worry of going elsewhere and having a major problem and then having to convince the insurers that a ZR1 is not a standard car makes me wonder if its worth changing?

Whenever you say ZR-1,they all acknowledge it but my reckoning is they dont know the difference.
I always let them know so there's no quibble over a claim, but i think they just rate it as a normal C4.
Try HC Edwards, they are more than reasonable and are always willing to beat a quote, plus they have no hessitation paying out.
