Donington trackday Sunday 29th
Discussion
You'll have fun, its a good circuit to drive in a Corvette and you won't have to change gear much. In my MN6 it was 2nd gear for the chicane, 3rd from the pits all the way through Redgates, Craner Curves, Old Hairpin, McLeans and out of Coppice ! Into 4th for the main straight, touch 130 then brake for the chicane and do it all again.
Twas an excellent day, very nice to meet nigel..... and there were loads of cool toys there, the highlights of the day only being overtaken twice one by a rapid Porsche 944 Turbo that had been played and then again by a Old shape beetle that was stripped to the bone and was part of a racing school I think.... There were no serious accidents at all, only a couple of spins here and there, I managed to kick a Ferrari 355 twice on 2 seperate sessions he was a little surprised, as was the Porsche Cayman S driver and many elises and westfields etc.... Granted I was in the novice group but then i'm a novice too.
the vette didnt miss a beat but averaged 8 mpg
I fancy doing another before they get expensive so am gonna book on for Sunday Feb 26th if anyone else is interested?
P.s Cool pictures thanks.
