After 2.5 yrs I think it's time to move on and try something different for ayear or so whilst I wait for the C6 Z06 to depreciate a bit..

My C5 is for sale and i'm wondering where the best plaace to advertise is. It's currently on the PH classifieds / AutoTrader and will be in TopMarques.

Haven't had a sniff so far - any recommendations where it may get a bite?

It's up for 18k or thereabouts (98 6 speed with 50k miles and nice goodies) - am I being unrealistic?

On another note I popped into the Corvette dealer in Newcastle (!) on Sunday. Got a nice VR manual C6 in there. Good to see a dealer up here tbh even though they don't know much about the cars yet - but it would have to be a Z06 for me.

Cheers,

Chris

IMHO, I think a tad high.. I recently sold my '99 Conv. with just under 30K for that.

You're in a very restrictive market and it doesnt help the there are C5s aplenty now that the C6 has started to root out.

I hope you get a buyer, to be honest, I was dead lucky...

Classic American without any doubt. it takes a month to get it in but you get a stream of calls. I had lots of calls for the Z06 and the Z28 even a month or so after the ad went in. Tried Auto Trader - waste of time.

Good call on classic american. Will give it a whirl.

What do you reckon, stick it in for 17?

I believe you can now put your car in classic american via the web.....but can't be arse'd to walk downstairs and find the page in the mag......try www.classic-american.com as a starting point.

Always leave the price open for negotiation. I would try £17500 and add ono or "will haggle", just something to push a "possible" caller into a definite caller. You can only say no.
