Where are Corvettes adevertised for sale?
Discussion
Unlike the plethora of TVRs advertised on PHs, Corvettes are few and far between in comparison. Looking through the Autotrader website does not reveal too large a choice either - plus there are some huge differences in prices between cars of same age and spec.
So, where is the best place to find a decent C5 for sale? Is there a good source to follow in the UK or should I jump on a plane to Florida and just take my pick?
If anyone has a C5 targa/convertible from 2001 on and would be interested in swapping for a nice Tuscan, I may be open to a swap or p/x. Note to self: must remember to measure width of garage door as Vettes are huge!

For private sales you could check the CCCUK website "Cars for Sale" section, e.g. this red C5
You could also try Classic American magazine, and Claremont Corvette often has a few : www.corvette.co.uk, watch the prices though. But I think Autotrader has more C5's than anywhere else. The CCCUK site is certainly worth looking at, but in a mis-guided approach to members benefits, they only allow members to advertise their cars. In comparison to older Vettes, there are masses of C5's about, many of which are owned by people who like the C5 but aren't interested in joining the owners club. But in comparison to C5's - and I mean no offence here - there are masses of TVR's about. This is only to be expected as it's a RHD, British car - many people fear LHD and/or American cars, which is great for us as it keeps them more exclusive.
You won't regret the move though - and your local AA/RAC man will be relieved

Nice one bryan.. Get it sorted..
Getting there Dave. Thoughts are starting to turn to warmer weather and touring. Need to get the Tuscan serviced and on the market too - but only if a Vette will fit in the garage! Otherwise I'll be sticking with the Tuscan - OR have to move house to get a bigger garage entrance!
