So long, and thanks for all the fish...

Ach, I never had any problems with the gearbox :-) Maybe that's because I did most of my driving in the US (and I have long arms).
I honestly wish that it made sense to keep her, but it really didn't.
I certainly wouldn't say no to buying another one if work etc moves from London.
...and if a move away from London takes us back to the US then I think it's time for an 18 car garage (I have my shopping list mostly filled in already :-))

forget the gearbox was a pig
Gear change is ponderous but the box it's self is great in my opinion, I fixed the ponderous change by fitting a $200 quick shifter kit.
So did I but it was still a slightly lesser breed of pig. I thought it was a necessary evil with V8's and lots of torque but the Mustang's is pretty light and you can slap it round, not as fast as a Honda's but it's very acceptable. The Vette's is just plain heavy and doesn't exactly encourage cog-swopping. Notwithstanding the short stubby shifter on the Mustang, I've still bought a longer chrome Hurst and white ball that will probably be worse but looks GREAT!. LOL.
