.....to collect my C5 Z06.

140 miles away from home, and we had rain, sleet, snow, gritters on the M27, everything. And all for my inaugural drive in Kenski's old motor. And how was it? All I had hoped for. I was wondering how it would compare with my old Cerbera, but I'm happy to say it's all the TVR was, and much more besides. I didn't think anything would compare to the grunt from the AJPV8, but the LS6 has it all and more (minus the spitting & crackling on the over-run, which I'll miss )
Pristine, straight from the valeters at 11 am, now looks like it's been through the trenches in The Somme. So, I figure it can only get even better. Roll on sunny days. And Kenski; thanks, mate. I'll take good care.

BTW LuS1fer, 'box isn't all that bad, IMO. Bit of a long throw, but live-with-able, I think. Doesn't feel like you need to shift too much anyway. Leave her in 5th, and it seems there's enough 'go' for most circumstances.

So, that's another C5 on the South Coast. See you out there.....

On the South Coast, could you be a bit more specific so I can pay extra attention in certain areas

Rich,

I'm based next door to Ian the Flag, so come down and say hello if you're in the area.

Mick,

Poole/Wareham area, but hoping to go further afield than I did when I was running the cerb.

Anyone got any idea how many Z06's there are in the UK? It seems that Cerbs are common by comparison. Went out over the weekend, and I saw three of 'em, but no C5's at all, let alone another Z06.

That'll be a real Flag-Fest then, everybody seems to have one down there!

BTW if you leave it in third it'll go even better!

Ian the Flag is Ian Fakenbridge of EN design, who painted Rich's flag. I've just given him a helmet for a 'one-off' paint job. His work is superb, but you need to see it in the plastic/metal to appreciate it. (Maybe I'll get a discount now....)

I've tried the 'keeping it in 3rd' thing, but I'm rapidly running out of underwear.
