Jon, I tried a few cams on the Marcos TSO project and from a base 320 hp ls1 powerplant we got to a smidgen over 400 with an ls6 intake. There was another engine which I expected to make 420 odd hp. Your engine being an ls6 has better heads so a cam swop could get you past 450 but after that you'll have to do other mods. Have you done your throttle housing mods? We never did those but they would be worthwhile.

Mike, Throttle housing mods? Do you mean shaving the butterfly stop bat to allow it to open nearer to horizontal (or something else?) - planning on this post merge pipes very soon. Been sorting suspension last month or so now bloody fantastic. Paul at wortech say merge pipes + a few more hours ecu time should get 25+bhp. Over that the Cam annd rocker kit can add 40 - 50 more. That will be enough. Cam / rockers/ spring might be next year, wedding and some racing (and no Le mans!) this year but merge pipe and reprograme soon. Need to have 420+ to keep Cerb guys in line! (But then mine is 100kgc lighter!).

Yes, shave the stop to allow the blades to open horizontally and then epoxy the venturi to make it fully round and smooth etc.

Depends what you want from the car ?

Although I doubt you will source anything too mad, due to the limited amount of lift you can use.
I dont think you could go much over about 0.580" lift without risking contact.

Lots of info here, although I'm sure you have looked already

Its also worth checkin the dyno graphs section of LS1Tech. You might see someone with results that you like, to give you an idea.

Some searching...

Probably something in the region of 220deg on 114LSA with about 0.550" should idle well, and give gains I'd guess.
