23miles to the US gallon the other day,not sure what that means in imperial but not bad for a 5.7litre 378hp 185mph+ 15 year old car aye,i was well impressed but that was without trying and also stepping on it somewhat.

Times the shown mpg by 1.2 and the answer is near as damn it to the imperial gallon

Wow thats 27.6 mpg unbelievable,we got to keep this to ourselves otherwise everyone will want one

I used to get about 28mpg on a gentle motorway cruise in my A8 4.2 petrol , once they are rolling big cars are ok on gas

Thats not bad Marki,i think thats a heavier car being pulled by a smaller engine,the best i ever managed in a vette was with a silver 1987 C4 350ci with 4+3 manual box that turned in just over 30mpg(US)36mpg imperial,again amazing, on the way to Knebworth,i dont know what happenend to me that day as i just cruised around the 60mph mark and its nearly motorway all the way.

Well most times if you try to fight the traffic you just give your self a headache so just go with the flow , the Audi was an impressive car for such a big barge in many ways pitty the lease ran out

Weight and aerodynamics play a big part in fuel consumption. My C2 is quite light comparatively but it does lack in the aero dept somewhat!

When I was bringing the Vette back from Corvette Kingdom with the new engine (3500rpm max) we got 7mpg! Ther carb was running as rich as Donald Trump though. Ive since rejetted etc and its now running a lot better, just need a decent run to confirm the new mpg.

Hmm, about 15-16 real MPG normal for me at the mo though - must get round to ordering a new thermostat (water temp should be a bit more than 53 degrees on a run....)

Hey Fran that was motorway all the way to Brett and Kerenzas place at cruising pace(prob + 20,sometimes more),them roads in the Medway borough council have got to be the worst ive ever come across.

Flat out Not so much top end but constantly up and down the box

As for the roads, MCN are running a competition for the crapest council for road maintenance. When it stops raining I think I will take a few shots and enter them.

Brett make sure to get some good photos,i want to organise a CV for the government ,i only passed through and i was disgusted at them...how can the government put up road tax for that P**s poor quality,ive seen better country lanes than your A roads.

Got so pissed off last night, after getting early I went out with the camera







....and if you look on the main PH site youwill see how the Gov says it fixed all our roads, year right w*nkers. Do you like the new sign board they put up?? Much more important than the road surface. Afterall speed kils.
