Hi, Ive migrated here from the HSV/Monaro forum. (2004 CV8) Just bought my first C5, 2000 model in Torch/Blk leather to go with my C3 '78 pace car. Looking forward to some interesting gassing !!
Just had it serviced at Stratstone in Reading, a new Corvette/Caddy dealer tagged onto a Volvo shop. Anyone else used them? Seem like a friendly bunch, bit pricey maybe.
Anyway looking to enjoy the new car over the summer, maybe do some meets etc.
Cheers for now,
V8Dave

Welcome to the fold. I hope to see you around Woking sometime as I live in Horsell. I own a black 2000 C5 'vert.
Do you know about the Surrey meets in Cobham?

With a C3 Pace car and a C5, I'd suggest that you are already well in.

Welcome - look forward to seeing your car(s) some day.

Thanks for the welcome, chaps !! Black Magic, I live in West End, (Woking) so a beer is very much an option !! Cant make wheels, family commitments etc, and some fettling on the C5. One of the rear speakers has died (cant handle metal!) and tyre pressure sensors are stuffed I think. Need to reset the things.
I met a very nice chap called Gary (had a big dog!) from CCCUK at Virginia Waters a couple of months ago, and he suggested the Fairmile and the Crispin in windsor for a natter etc. Sadly, business commitments etc have made that impossible til now, so maybe I can meet some of you soon ! Is the CCCuk club the best one to join? I'm an AACUK member at the moment, but dont really take part in it much. Seems Midlands based really.
I'm looking to get the C5 to the same power as the Monaro, around 440bhp. I use EFI Live flashscan software, anyone else used it? Great for codes, logging live data etc and tuning of course!

That'll be this Wednesday evening, the somewhat larger meet at the Fairmile will be on Tuesday week.

I asked for a 30k service, think they changed the oil and filter and gave it a general look over. Asked them to change trans oil and filter and the brake fluid, but they didnt do either. Cost me 200 quid. And they forgot to reset the oil life monitor (did it on the way home) Have K&N so no need to change that. Never mind, their coffee is nice and theres a cute girlie on reception. Have a proper bill for the service history, will do all the other stuff myself when I can find the time!

Is the Crispin that one on the bend, not far from the Legoland thing? I'll try to get there on Wednesday.
