Have just returned from holiday near Tampa Bay and went into this great car place which was selling some great 60's/70's muscle cars especially Vettes. It was in Tarpon Springs. Well worth a visit if you in the area.

What does it cost to ship a car from the States, taxes etc ?

Rule of thumb is about 30% of the price of the car goes in tax/duty (if under 10 years old), plus about £1000 to ship, including insurance... then you have to pay for registering (about £100) SVA (depends on who does it plus cost of parts - if you do it around £400, plus another £60 for the test).

If the car is over 10 years old I dont think you pay any duty (10%). I'm sure somebody else will advise!

Thats about it. All figures are approximate...
