Starting up when warm
Discussion
Theres something my car has been doing basically since i bought it, so I was just wondering if it is normal or if there is somthing wrong.
When I start it up from cold it fires up more or less straight away, however when its warm it takes a good 5-10 secs to fire up and a blip on the pedal, but after that all is well, any ideas? or am I just stressing for no reason

Sounds like heat soak to me. When you start the engine after it has been cooling parts will be at different temps including the sensors so for a short time odd readings will be made for the ECM and so you get 'lumpy' running until everything is within its usual temp range. Every car I've had (electronic) has been the same. From a cold or hot start everything would be fine. My Supra was really lumpy on a warm start

Sorry to be negative but in 4.6 years of C5 ownership, daily driver, this has never hapened to me (touch wood)
maybe you have never really noticed it - all cars that use various sensors do it and unless someone can make an engine cool down in a uniform fashion - which they cant - they will still all do it. How about on the bike they also do it although much less?
