Found some good USA sites, but with import tax seemingly getting worse, has anyone got any recommendations for UK places?

I'll be in the USA later in the year, but just wondered if there was a a UK equivalent of say
East Coast Corvettes?

You could try Keith Beschi at Eurovettes : www.eurovettes.com/
He specialises in C4 and newer - so fine for your C5. Keith is a top fella: valued my C3 for insurance plus I had a few pints with him at last years CCCUK Nationals. I know he's a UK agent for Mid-America too, which is another Company I've been very impressed with.

How can import tax get worse? It's about 3.5% and then you've got your VAT. At 1.7 dollars or more to the pound, you're getting the best possible price. A UK dealer still has to import it and make a profit and most dealers have a substantial markup of 30-50%.

Not sure why, but I used to order things and never had ANY issues with customs, no delays,
charges etc.

However, the last 4 packages have had have taken 4 - 6 weeks to arrive (priority) and I
have been hit with a charges for anything over about £20.00 of value.

I think it depends on the carrier. US Postal Service and GPO are the only real bet for avoiding it. the others have a vested interest in ripping you £10 for clearing customs. However, I still doubt that you'll ever get anything cheaper in the UK as the dealer has to pay the same and make a profit. You may have more comebacks though (as I've found...).

Fanks for the kind words - my erule of thumb for my supply is 100 dollars = 115 pounds here in UK MAX all shipping, duty , taxes and vat. I can supply from any USA supplier and ship every month. ALSO if its wrong or broken or ? then you send it back to me and I will sort it - no USA shipping to be done

Well guys - I cant import a garage - bit large for air freight - the 3 layer covers are good albeit a bit bulky when not in use and rolled - BUT if you use a garage as has been suggested then a 3 layer cover is good insurance against things that may fall off shelves or the enevitable 'I will just put this on the car for now' protection stuff. Mid am and Ecklers do these around 100 pounds ish (Mid am own brand or Wolf)
Ecklers asl do a cheaper single layer cover - not custome fitted to the car though so it may billow in the wind a bit

Every Corvette owner should have a cover for the car - saves all sorts of issues with dust, dirt , prying eyes and .......

I need an all weather one as I travel a lot (staying in hotels etc) so I need one that is not
too bulky to pack in the car for trips?

I'm looking for long shallow angle car ramps capable of accommodating a 275 tyre. Can't find any bar the US who aren't interested.

Talking of aftermarket accesories Mr C5ragtop's new exhaust sounds rather good.
