I had reservations about putting the smaller profile 18" Michelin sport tyres on the car but after a couple of drives fell that they are a vast improvement over the 17" Goodyears, anyone else notice the difference between tyre makes or sizes?

I had the pilots on my original 90 wheels - much better than the Goodyears, even better in the wet.

Is Monday evening still a plan Cliff?

Yup just today fitted my 2nd set of Pilots. Its a non contest. And they are not expensive. My 1st set did 50% more miles than the original Goodyears

Just love my Michelins; so much more confidence on them than on the stock tyres.
They ain't cheap but they're GOOD!

I have a plane booked Thursday and Friday but will only fly on one of those days depending on the weather. The day I'm not flying (or either day if the weather turns out shit) will be ok. Talk to you later in the week

Hmn, think you need to improve your purchasing muscle Brett. I paid £774 for the four fitted.

Blimey, you're up late Cliff.
Noticed massive difference going from 15" to 17"'s. Tramlines a bit more tho.

Noticed a huge difference moving from std C3 wheels to 18" P Zero's. Not surprising since the only available tyres for std C3 rims are for Transit vans and the like.

Since when does your vette wear 315 rears with the 275 fronts???? Don't really want to run the Z on skinny C5 tyres

Shit got sucked into that one! Mind the C5 wheels are optimally designed to speed egress of the airflow and reduce turbulence thus increasing downforce

I dont think many people can tell too much of a difference in tyre performance unless you are a professional driver BUT good and accurate 4 wheel alignmet is THE key to making all Vettes handle well and not skip about on fast bumpy bends
