Corvette C3 prices

Any idea why Corvette 1970's are going so cheap on ebay/autotrader recently? I had planned on fitting a new exhaust and selling mine with new MOT but the current market looks poor for the seller. Just saw a 1978 pace car go for 4.5K on ebay. Is it that petrol is so high or just the time of the year? I was hoping to get nearer 8K for mine but it looks like I'll have to bide my time.

Well you could try using ebay to sell it back to the States. It seems to me prices in the States are always firmer. I guess it would need to be in good condition or a specific sought after model to be successful but worth a try, or indeed to the European market

I would doubt any C3 for that price would be very good. Fine for running projects etc. but I would expect to spend a load top get it right up to scratch. Earlier chrome bumper C3's are still holding their price if the condition is right - thank goodness
