Hi All,

Anyone know what a good insurance quote for a new C6 Z06 should be ????

MCE Saying £1,800 ouch

I'm waiting for a call back so could be lower ...

I don't work for A-plan who have an ad on this forum but they did just quote me £350 fully comp for a ZR1. Different cars and different values I guess but maybe they're worth a try.

Agreed value was another 30 quid.

Is it more becuase it's not a UK Spec model?
I think the new Z06 is now quite sought after & Insurance companies know this & charge more!
I sure the money you have saved from american carnage should offset the Insurnace quote!!

Not for me they didn't!

A-Plan did best for me, although MCE did (eventually) nearly match it. I ended up paying £1500 in London, where the first quote I got had been £2800

No so I have a Cadillac BLS loaner until it arrives this week (I hope!). They certainly missed June.

I'm also with MCE, but garaging/Tracker and limited mileage has kept my premium down below the other guys' on here.

Are the US specs more to insure? Do you insurance companies require any more security?

I just got a quote from A-Plan on my 2005 Mustang GT with 462bhp supercahrger, 20" rims and tyres and uprated springs and suspension, stock Ford security and no immobiliser or aftermarket crap. Came in at a very reasonable £539 for 4000 miles a year which is great for a modified car like mine.

Just renewed the Viper (SRT10). Renewal with Adrian Flux was OK but they have a maximum vehicle value of £50k, insist on a Cat 1 alarm/immobiliser as well as Tracker and do not include continental cover. Tried A Plan, MCE and Stevenage all were very helpfull and did'nt have a requirement for Cat 1 if Tracker fitted. Stevenage promised to get back to me with a quote within the hour that was 10.00am last Friday and nothing so far, likewise with Stevenage. A Plan gave me a quote on the spot which was £30 less than Flux (£549 fully comp including protected NCB) including continental cover to the same level as UK and agreed the value. I have gone with A Plan.

I should have said this is a limited mileage policy of 5,000 miles per year, as was Flux previously.

MCE got back to me today and the quote for the new Z06 is now £1,500. They are still trying to get a lower quote so I'm waiting for another call back.

Maybe I'll go to Tesco, at least I can pick up a pork pie in the process ...

Finally got it yesterday!
But I'm too sick to drive it. Bad timing

OMG - that has to suck, sorry to hear it, get well soon.

I'm a kind and generous guy - can I drive it for you?...

Anyway, looking forward to some images and a report when you feel up to it.
