As some of you know, I am looking at buying from abroad at the moment.

Apart from loosing the 3 year warrantee, could anyone advise me of pitfalls when
buying from America or Canada?

What would Duty, VAT, shipping, Marine Insurance, port fees and SVA add to a purchase?
Anything else to add to the cost?

Is it relatively straightforward or am I better advised to use the services of
someone who charges a fee but takes care of everything else (anyone recommend anyone?)

I am looking at Europe also, but think I may have that information covered for now.

Thanks in advance.

You could read my article at www.ukviperclub.co.uk and press on imports. Hopefully it might help you.

It really sounds like I should've looked to the continent... but nobody was able to tell me that at the time!

Hey shoebag, how are you doing? (that was not meant in a Joey from Friends way!)

Have you had a chance to look at auto-journals.com yet?

We would still love to have a journal about one or more of your fleet!
Please contact me if you are still interested.

Hi David,

I have sent you something on another one of my cars. Hope you can use it this time.
