I've just seen the new Corvette at a small car show it doesn't look very "vettish".

Someone said "there's the new corvette" and from the front I would not have realised it was a Corvette. Different but nice.

The C6 has polarised Corvette fans like no other. I think it is not a successful design, more like a big Elise, but lots of people like it so much, they bought one.

The various Corvette generations lasted quite a few years each. However, now that the Vette will have a bit more home grown competition (hot versions of the Challenger/Camaro/Shelby Mustang) I wonder if we'll see a C7 sooner rather than later.

I hope so, and as much as I like the C6, I really hope the designers go to town on the C7. I'd like to see a return of the exagerated curves of the C3 Vette of the late 60's, early 70's.

A modern-day version of this please

Bowling Green Kentucky became operational in 1981 so chances are it never rolled out of Kentucky at all. Prior to that, production was in Missouri and Flint, Michigan. I wanted to call my son Flint Michigan but my wife had a knife at the time....

Lack of pop up lights changes the whole look of the car. Thanks to those clumsy pedestrians and politicians!

I have just been out looking to buy my kid a car, and on my way back down the A4, noticed around Woodley that Stratstone's have a Vette showroom at the big Woodley roundabout. Couple of regular C6s in there and I have to admit, even with obvious lights they are growing on me. No Z06s there though.

O/T A bit further back towrds home, noticed Cliffy working. Sorry I didn't respond immediately Cliff but I thought your cab was black. Waited till I could get your face in my mirror before waving.
