I've been asked to pass on details of a top speed records day at Elvington on the 24th september, to anyone who may be interested. Run by Straightliners, using the full main tarmac runway on the airfield. Top speed attempts only, for cars and bikes, with a full timing trap and spectator viewing area.
Cost to race is £50 per car payable on the day, spectating is usually £7 or so on gate at these, will have to check on actual spectating costs tomorrow for anyone who needs info.

Is that £50 per attempt or £50 for a day of attempts?

Sounds very interesting. Where do I go to sign up? And where's Elvington?
