Thats the job of the co-driver - along with spotting police Subaru's, lighting cigars and changing the cd's.

I'm dubious about the French in general and could see them using this as another "fleece the Brits" excuse. Alternatively, just use the N138 or whatever it's now called?

We stay at a hotel called L'Port St. Aubin in a small village South West of Le Mans called Morannes last year and it was so good we re-booked again for this year, it only has 10 rooms but it is fully Corvette Owner booked again this year, so if you fancy a space for 2008 you need to hope someone doesn't want to go next year or fancies a change of hotel (which to be honest we probably will).

We won't be staying at that hotel next year... We have somewhere else to stay, fingers crossed
