C4 Corvette Pickup!

In this months Classic American magJun issue page 84/85 has a story about a C4 pick up in black. Is it me or was this car destoryed by a fire last year?
Anyone remember it?

You are right that it was destroyed in a fire. I saw the owner only a month ago and he was building another but it wasn't quite ready then - does the one in CA have "ABM" written on it??

The original one he built was a car ready for the scrap heap so he gave it a few more years of life and I believe the latest one was also a basket case. So not exactly killing, more giving life to otherwise scrap material.
