LS7 or LS2

hi all we are building a car for the dutch super car championship and are thinking of using a ls2 with cam or a standered ls7 any ideas on fuel useage as the power would be not to far apart (we have been told?)the main point is fuel which would us the least both engines would be decated no imissions remaped etc thanks

The ls7 will be the more efficient engine due to it's superior internals but at double the price.

I would have thought the smaller cc engine likely to be more fuel efficient.
