If you got a C6 especially a Z06 or you're thinking about a ZR1 please don't let someone butcher it. Get a light conversion like this.........you'd be mad to have anything of lesser quality done to your £40K plus car.

That looks great. Much better than the Euro lights GM fit.

Are they SVA compliant?

Are the door mirror repeaters instead of the front wing ones or as well as?

Rough cost?

yes the lighting conversion is very good and looks original but as an importer of american cars and trucks and limousines.i think the cost of conversion is very important.most people are not happy paying 900.00 to 1000.0 pound for few bulps and circuit boards.i think if the price was around 350.00 mark you would see alot of people getting them done .thts my opinion

Yeah that is crazy money. £2000 would buy a lot of go faster mods!

Also I can't see how the side repeater would be SVA compliant when it can't be seen from, er, the side?

As I recall side repeaters must actually be visible around 180 degree arc....

From my experience with truck SVA(and it may involve different criteria, though God knows why)if the tester can see the side repeater(in the case of the Dodge Ram the front indicator) at a minimum distance of 1 metre away from a point where the rear of the truck meets the side of it then that passes.
Strangely the set up in this case WOULD pass that test even though it would be invisible to the side I.E its intended and sole purpose !

Given the complications of the C6 generation over the C5 it was well worth spending the money rather than trying to do it myself.
I also agree with Rob that it looks much better than factory i.e. you retain the rear red lights and the foglights are integrated to the reversing lights so no ugly appendage hanging down between your pipes!
The front is equally cool in that the side lights are in the front fogs.

Regarding the side repeaters from memory of testing the C5s the tester needs to stand one meter out from the rear edge of the rear wheel and provided they can see the repeater it is all good. "Side repeater" is a bit misleading.

Also the light conversion comes with a 3 year warranty......even if the rest of the car doesn't!

Official Euro C6 lights have the fogs integrated into the rear lights, no appendage necessary!
However, I much prefer the concentric circles of the US lights to the horizontally split Euro ones.

Don't get me wrong Nigel, it's a neat looking job. There is no standard SVA test, what passes at one test centre fails in a heartbeat at another. I know that our test centre would fail that light conversion for having a mirror repeater is all.

Truck SVA is different. Technically no light conversion is required to pass the test, however the vehicle would not be road legal not to have the lights converted.

I would probably go for the normal Euro side-repeaters. The hole's there anyway!
