On a practical level, with 3 children, I clicked the CTS-V and I'd be more than happy with it. On a more emotive level, there is no rhyme or reason when faced with temptation and given a line of these cars and a free choice, I'd be just as likely to walk away with a right red Challenger, even though I know it's dynamically inferior.
Has to be the Mustang - ULTIMATE BAD BOY. Conversion as carried out by Tim Porter, a Brit in the USA. This car has one of the biggest superchargers, fitted to an all aluminium 5.4 litre GT engine which produces an outstanding 1,000bhp. Torque 825 lb ft, compare that to the Lamborghini Murcielago with a mere 487 lb ft.

There are guys running near those numbers in the HSV forum, but nothing last long enough to enjoy anything.
You have to rebuild the whole car around the power output. Driveshafts, diff's, prop's, clutches, fuel systems, brakes, cooling, etc, etc.
Poinless IMO. PLUS you wont have any traction so a lowered powered car will fly past you.

Wise decision. Having seen all these cars on the road there's something about the Challenger that just looks the rightest. Styling of the camaro is somewhat contrived, especially at the rear, and the lates Mustangs are losing some of the design purity. challenger looks very serious indeed. However, in the land of estate cars CTS looks the business for sure!
