With a lack of late Corvettes on the used market and few new cars about, Are you going to stick with your late Vette or look around for something else???

Some nice cars around the £40-50k -
Might not be a Corvette but still nice..

Jag XKR, Aston DB9,Bentley GT,Dodge Viper, Shelby Mustang.New Camaro SS.
Porsche Cayman.

Maybe buy one of the above and add a nice C3/C4 to your collection.

Sadly, nothing else really appeals. Jags, Astons and Bentleys don't really do anything for me - old men's expresses (or footballer's wheels!). Other stuff (like Porsche) just seems too common. Viper is nice, but not really viable as an only car. Maybe a Mustang or Camaro convertible if push came to shove. Still, if Vette prices keep climbing maybe I'll have to do something different next time!

Can't see me getting rid of the 'vette for a long while but, if the new lotus range is sensibly priced and the performance compares to, say, the C7 when it arrives, that would be a nice decision to have to make!

I came to Corvette after various sportscars including 10 years in a Lotus Esprit. Like GW65 I'm looking for something outside the mainstream. I've watched this week's news from Lotus (Paris show) with interest but you have to wonder whether any of those concept cars they've unveiled will make it into production, let alone at a half-sensible price. So it looks like I'm sticking with the Vette!

Interesting, it was 'bang for buck' that sold the corvette for me, as well the test drive dispelling the more typical stereotypes. I wouldn't say I had masses of brand loyalty, I tend to like all cars as long as they look good and go better.

I swapped my C6 for an SL55 AMG in january, and great as the Merc is, it lacks something . It is beautifully made, is quicker than the vette, rides better and has a great folding hardtop. But I still miss the Vette for all its faults. It had the character that the SL lacks. I will be checking out the C7 with interest when it arrives.

I'm waiting for the new Camaro Z28 to arrive to the official Chevy dealers late 2011 or early 2012...

It's going to be white with black rims and first thing I'll do arriving home is going to be streaping it of all the unnecessary weight, I'll dump the whole interior and I'll only fix a carbon fiber bucket and a rev counter....no A/C, no power windows, no heater, empty doors, among others...
