long front metric repair section

picked up a long front metric repair section from caterham dartford today, and it wasnt quite how i expected.
the chassis has no top or bottom braces at all, the braces that run from the top chassis rail back to the pedal box area, and the bottom brace that runs back to the bulkhead area, my chassis that is damaged has these braces, and every single picture i can find on the net has them as well.
the chap seemed to think that metric chassis didnt have these braces? although at least some of them obviously do. my chassis is a 2007 metric mig welded chassis. chassis number c001.
its not an issue as i will just fabricate and weld in the braces, but why are they not included in the repair section, and why did the chap seem to think they dont have them, i can find many examples of sigma metric chassis that all have these tubes?
