Current brake pads have lost a lot of bite following recent trackday antics and would like some new ones in the front.
What do you recommend?
For fast road/bumbling and track.
I like things that warm up.
Ferodos ds something's I've heard of?

im running ds2500s and they are ok, was at cadwell on slicks and they held up pretty well but would say they were fading towards the end of a 20 min hard session, previously used mintex 1166 and never faded those, I always run 1144 mintex in the rear.

My favs for racing on big slicks and AP big brakes were Ferodo race on the front and Pagid RS14s on the rears. No fade just on and on and on. Use high temp brake fluid like AP600 or similar though.
I used them on the road extensively and never had any issues.
I can't remember the Ferodo number but could look it out.

JeffC- how were the 1166s? Just about to fit a set to the race car (100bhp / 610kg / Road Tyres). I'm hoping they'll be a decent upgrade for the 1144s which I cooked in two laps and the 1177s which I found difficult to modulate.

I used to cook 1144s on my sub 500kg track/race car,was told by Questmead to fit 1166s and they were spot on and ive had them in all my cars inc a 300bhp duratec race car and even in a 15min race Ive never faded them yet and on the road they worked well from cold, a friend of mine has them in a 900kg tintop race car and he rates them highly also with no issues.

Thanks for that, very re-assuring. Can't wait to use my new brakes in anger at Anglesey next weekend.
