Idling problems
Discussion
Hi Guys,
Newbie here, with a technical question for all of you in the know.
My Caterham Roadsport 2008 1.6 K-series with Supersport upgrade is giving me a headache. Ever since it came out of winter hibernation the idling speed has been somewhat erratic when warm. Saying that, when starting from cold it is fine. I can drive to Timbuktu and back without any hassle. However, if I was so foolish and turn off the engine at some point of the journey and then try and start it when warm the revs would drop down so low on idling that it would stall. I’ve cleaned the idle control valve and changed the temp sensor to the ECU, after a diagnostic check. It makes town driving a bit of a nightmare to say the least. Fancy footwork, handbrake and all sorts.
Any ideas what the solution might be, guys?
