Ride height adjustment / sump protection

Hello all,

I have a 1999 Sprint with a Vauxhall 1800 8v. The clearance below the sump is under 3" and hates any form of speed bump and the likes. I have Billsteins all round and they are adjustable. I am just a fairly sedate driver (well the speed limit is so much fun in a Seven and I feel like I am really moving along) and do not track the car. Should I crank it up a little? Any other sump protection without sacrificing too much clearance please?

I now have adjustable height shocks at the rear which have ben adjusted to give the correct ride height iaw the build manual. I have 10cm under the sump and strengthening/steel skid strips to protect the sump. I now drive with confidence.

What size wheels?

The general rule of thumb (for a K Series) is that you should be able to get a coke can under, but not a wine bottle - so you aren't that far out, but another cm or two would do no harm, especially on crowned roads with big steel cats eyes!

Hi, thanks for that. The build manual is with the dealer and I get it after service so i shall check. I have 13 inch wheels
