Options for changing diff ratio ?
Discussion
Currently have a 2006 Roadsport which was ordered with 6 speed box and LSD. From looking at gearing calculators I have assessed I have a 3.92 ratio diff.
What options do I have to alter this to 3.62 and what kind of price am I looking at (assuming specialist performs all work) ?
Thanks in advance

3.92 diff is unusual combined with 6 speed box although a lot of sprint/hillclimb cars use that combination (I do). To change the ratio you just swap the crown wheel and pinion - the LSD gubbins remains. Remove diff and take to Road and Race Transmissions (if you are anywhere near brands hatch) or to your local diff specialist. They can swap the crown wheel and pinion for you and check/replace seals and bearings as necessary. I would guess at £200ish depending on parts needed. You can either keep the 3.92 CW&P in case you change your mind, sell to a sprinter (for £60 - £75) or just swap for the 3.62 with wherever you take the diff.
