Removing inertia seatbelts in a '96 S3

Chaps,

I use the 4 point harness on every occasion so plan to just do away with the inertias.

Two questions;
Will this cause me any MOT / legal issues?
How do you actually get at the bottom of the inertia belt? Easy job or not worth the hassle?

I've only got four-point harnesses and for the two MOTs I've had with the car they've not been a problem.


Am I reading this right though - you've got both inertia seat belts and four-point harnesses?

1/ no

2/ Remove the rear wheels. Locate the triangular alloy plate near the Damper and remove by drilling out the pop rivets. Very easy job
