minimum clearence to sump for road car?
Discussion
Not quite the same, but I have a Fisher Fury with a bike engine (R1). Clearance as current set-up is about 70mm.
This low you *must* pay attention to every damn thing on the road ahead and plan for it. Speed bumps / pillows will have you wincing; such low static clearance means you are really depending on your spring rates for many things, since the slightest bump and flex reduces that clearance significantly.
And realistically that can mean that anywhere the road crowns (- even up-ramps steep than about 1:12 with sharp transition onto a different level e.g car parks) can cause a slight grind. 75mm works with modest care, but no lower for a road car I think.

75mm with you in it is about as low as you want to go.
Is the Busa engine tall compared to it's baby brother ?
The DS will help, but try to raise it up in the chassis as much as you can. You then get problems with under bonnet clearance but there are options there. Poke it up through, or you can turn the TBs through about 60 degrees and have them hozizontal.

engine is quite tall compared to the k series but with the shallow sump its not to bad really. i dont have a great deal of clearence at the moment so will aim for at least as much with the busa.
the only problem ive realised is that my stack 8100 dash doesent read rpm high enough for the busa which revs past 11,000 rpm.
