Hiring from Caterham South - good driving routes?
Discussion
Right all, treating myself to a day in a Caterham next Friday. We're picking the car up from Caterham south (Surrey) - but I'm pretty clueless re: good driving roads around there. Does anyone have any good suggested routes/itineries? My first thought is to take the car down to the coast (Brighton/Eastbourne) via some A/B roads.... Any other thoughts/suggestions?
My Other half and I did this back in March and head a great time. I warn you now though, be prepared to go out and buy one shortly after as you'll be smitten
We took a slightly different approach and avoided the coast by heading South from Caterham and, via the back roads, took in the sights around Turners hill (just east of Crawley - great roads round there), then headed west on A272 through Cuckfield before heading back North on the A281 towards Guildford, again a nice road. We stopped for lunch at a nice pub called the Red Lion Inn at Shamley Green which was well worth the visit and then made are way east again and back to Caterham via the A25 from Guildford sort of area, again another nice road.
Thats one idea for you anyway.
Hope you enjoy your day out.

I did this a month ago, 3 weeks later we had a Caterham, so I'll echo the comments above and say, watch out
We drove down to Eastbourne via the b roads. The routes are pretty obvious so you shouldn't get too lost. We then went along the coast and drove back via main roads.
Fantastic day, but it'll end up costing you a lot more than the hire fee
