"Lumpy" engine issue with Rover 1.6K

I bought an ex-academy Caterham (1.6K Rover engine, 120ish bhp) just a couple of days ago, and had no problems on the 30 mile drive home, but this afternoon when I took the car out for a run, the engine suddenly became what I can only describe as lumpy. This only started happening after stopping the car for 5-10 mins then restarting, prior to this it had seemed as smooth as expected.

On part-throttle, the car is jerky, and at low revs the car almost stalled. On a reasonable level of throttle the symptoms don't seem to be there. There's plenty of fuel in the car and the oil level appears fine, any suggestions as to what this might be?

Throttle position sensor or crank position sensor?

You could try an ECU reset first. Turn on ignition, do not start the engine though. Then press the throttle pedal slowly 6 times if I remember correctly. Turn off the ignition , then start as normal.
I have a 1.6k and just after buying mine, the idling went all to cock. Tried this and issue was miraculously cured.

Running lean? Check all the hoses around the throttle body to make sure they're tight & it's not sucking air. Then reset the sensor as stated above.

There's another thread, very close to this one with the same symptoms. I would suspect the IACV

Thanks all for the input. Not had a chance to try the car again, but will see if an ECU reset might do the trick first of all!
