Hi MNR

Yes I sell the Meteor Hayabusa kit. Yes you could probably manufacture the engine mounts for less yourself.

However what they do is take a tried and tested install arrangement and allow you to simply bolt them to the engine whilst in place and they will locate the engine in the correct place so that you know there will not be any "clashes". They are Caterham specific and have the standard metalastic bushes fitted.

It takes all the thinking time out of the install. I would be pretty confident of you saving the additional costs back in time.

Please call me if you need more info.

thanks simon, i wasnt having a pop at the price and im sure they are a quality item, i was just trawling the second hand market before i bought a new one.
not sure if you know darren luke (dsl) but he put your name forward and force racingcars, hes been really helpful to me and ive bought loads of his bits off him.
i have a fair bit of busa stuff if your interested.
i also have his force racing exhaust which was suited for his force engine mounts. so do you think this will affect the diagonal chassis rail with your mounts? cheers. also a contact number so i can give you a call cheers

I've got a set of the meteor mounts on my car and they work very well.

DSL engine and the Meteor mounts are as close as the same,( i was involved in the build of both ) you can only fit the busa engine in one place and the meteor mounts pick up on the existing engine/chassis mounting points.

The fact that they are metallastic bushed as well, take out alot of the resonance through the chassis that you get with solid bushes.

It may seem to be expensive , but as Simon points out to be able to simply bolt the frames on and locate the engine, knowing its in the correct place does save an awful lot of work and time

Stack 8130 dash display with an MBE 9a4 ecu and sbd loom.

If i'd thought a bit harder when i installed the stack i should have gone for the canbus version and read the data directly off the mbe, as this would have saved on the wiring as i've got 2 seperate looms for the mbe and the stack.

i hve dsl's older mbe 992 with sbd's harness, and am looking for a dash. ive found a cosworth omega but its expensive and also an AIM MXL which has can. i could buy the AIM and the engine mounts from meteor for less than the omega dash but its packed with tech and has full data logging with camera too!

Check the size of the Pi omega dash as the stack only just fits.

Personally i like the simplicity of the Stack display, i find the digital display a bit fussy , but i've not used one in anger, so may just be subjective

Wasn't taking it as pop about the price;)

My contact numbers are on the MeteorMotorsport.com website.

07920 843146 - happy to chat. You may not that there are a few other things on the website I can help out with.

Yes I know DSL he has a set of my Ohlins Spec dampers on the car but now I have the Nitrons set up my way he'll be after a set of those smile Its all because I'm catching him up on the track. Some may say its because I'm "morally bankrupt" having all the traction and launch systems on the car but I'd say its just a way of making up for the 25bhp or so I have less than him smile
