have stack changed the shape of there dash slightly?
Discussion
hi all, i recently bought a carbon dash for my stack setup as im converting to hayabusa power.i sold my stack dash (8000 rpm limit) and bought a used one with a 15000 rpm limit.
when i removed the old covered ally dash i noticed that a small section of the upper scuttle horizontal tube had been ground away so the stack dash would fit. it is tight at the bottom end and is sat directly on the lower tube which the steering boss connects to. but my new (used) dash is even bigger and wont quite fit. i cant lower it any more so the only option is to take another couple of mm from the top tube! is this ok? cheers

No idea as to if stack have changed the housing or not an e-mail might confirm this. I have had a couple and both have been the same size, The best way is to remove the ammount you need to from the tube then weld a thin piece of mild steel strip in to close the tube and add strength again then grind the welds flat etc. Although there are many cars out there with a stack retro fitted and the hole in the tube is left open as hardly part of structle strength
