Well the spending never seems to stop does it! Seems my DVA'd Roadsport at 201 point 7 bhp is now too powerful for an 11 year and 11,000 mile old clutch. I hit max power in 3rd, 4th, & 5th and it slips. Starting to smell a bit too. Fine in normal "non-qualifying lap" driving but having spent money on the engine I'm not getting all the performance.
So, is there an special clutch needed for that sort of power? Millwood is pretty sure the clutches fitted at the time by the factory were the same including R500, so it must be just an age and wear thing. Shame as I had it out about 18 months ago to replace the release bearing and was told the clutch was fine, so I left it as it was.
