Heads-up for 2013; as Caterham Cars will be celebrating its 40th Anniversary of making the Seven, they plan some celebrations! Detail in the next few months. Keep an eye on the Caterham Cars website; 'Life' newsletter/blog.

It could be good.

I wonder if there is any mileage in getting in contact with them. What is the PH forum view?

Well I'm a member of L7C and I don't know anything about anniversary arrangements, maybe it's for gold members.confused

If the L7C is arranging something then that is great for its members; good use of its MT resources too. So good luck with that.

Clearly the 40th anniversary is a Caterham cars event as I picked it up from their Life newsletter. No doubt therefore that they will share to all their plans for the event. I will keep a watchful eye on that.

I may contact CC CEO on behalf of the PH forum, I don't have the resources of the L7C, I am but one guy with an ipad, and some ideas.....

Please let's not let this thread deteriorate into a L7C pissing contest, so any keyboard warriors step away from the keyboard and put your hands back in your pockets. I am not interested in, nor have time for a range war on Pistonheads.

If you have any ideas maybe suggest them here, if there is interest from PH then CC may well be interested.

Let us remember, the car is the star on this event surely .

I would love ... a sunny day, July or August ... Brands Hatch ( between Caterham and Dartford) or Donnington (a bit more accessible for some) ... evening barbeque ... camping for those that want it ... Pop up hotel for those that don't ... live band ... maybe piggy back on a Summer Concert at Newmarket Racecourse.

Here's a fantastic image from Stow Maries ... maybe create something with a 40 and a 7.

Oooh, oooh how about Hethel ? Oh no, that won't work will it.

How about Cateham F1 at Leafield Oxfordshire ?

Or Loftus Road, home of QPR (currently) premiership football Team and part of the Tony Fernandes family.

I'd like to see something around the Midlands area, so we can include people based further North too. Middle of the country makes it fair for everyone IMHO. The people and our cars make the celebration, not so much the location I feel.
