Coolant change -do you?
Discussion
In the absence of more informed posts, I'll have a go...
Mine gets replaced all the time, mostly due to engine/radiator/coolant pipe changes! However if it were a road car my view would be that coolant, like engine oil, protects and preserves the longevity of your engine. Changing it isn't too tough or expensive either. Therefore, I'd change if in any doubt about it's quality or concentration, if it looks dirty, and failing all that, at a sensible interval. 5 years does sound sensible.
