Caterham cam timing

Hi all,

I want to check the valve timing of my Caterham.

Its a 1.6 k series with vernier pullies on it. Its still got the standard supersport camshaft fitted.

What valve lift should I have at TCD for each camshaft?

Lift at TDC for Supersport cams with the engine running on a plenum and with an SS ECU would be 60 thou inlet, 50 thou exhaust.

Hi Dave,

The car has jenvey throttle bodies and an auto-teknix box on it. Not a standard plenum.

In that case a little more lift at TDC can be used, 70 on the inlet and 60 on the exhaust.
