Been out this evening have you? Went through a speedo-drive disconnecting, alternator-light-illuminating puddle, but still dry with my full hood. Wouldn't really want to entertain this evening with the half hood method!

Got caught out in a horrendous downpour a few weeks ago with the half hood.

I can't say I was totally dry... but it wasn't all that bad....

In this sort of weather you can't beat the full hood though.

Probably quite useful in the summer on a long journey to keep the sun off but still have fresh air coming in without it blasting you - similar to a Land rover bikini hood!

Have driven through car wash conditions with half hood and combined with draught excluder I stay 99% dry. Have never bothered with the full hood since getting half hood which is about 40 k miles ago. Personal choice but I would not eveh consider using full hood again-ungainly , increases noise to daft level and cooks you..
